The curriculum, in plain terms

FROM FIRST LINE
TO FOUNDER

Four programs. One continuous ladder. Whether you've never held a machine or you already run a chair, there's a next step here โ€” and every step is built on the same non-negotiable: hygiene first, artistry always, business skills that actually pay the rent.

Most tattoo training in India is still informal โ€” shadow a senior artist, pick things up, hope the fundamentals stick. InkingKings Tattoo Institute was built to do it differently: structured modules, real assessments, and certification that means you can actually do the thing, not just that you showed up.

Below is the full ladder โ€” what each program covers, who it's for, and where it leads. Read it top to bottom if you're starting from zero, or jump to the rung that matches where you already stand.

Course 01

Basic Tattoo Artist Program

Zero to your first supervised tattoo on real skin.
15โ€“20 days, full-time โ‚น30,000 1:4 instructor ratio

This is a fast, intensive foundation โ€” not a weekend hobby workshop. You'll spend your first two days on nothing but theory and hygiene, because no student touches live skin until sterilization technique is second nature. From there: machines, needles, and process, drilled on practice skin until it's clean, then a supervised live tattoo on a real client before you certify.

  • Full machine, needle, and ink theory โ€” rotary, coil, and wireless systems
  • The complete tattoo process: consultation โ†’ stencil โ†’ execution โ†’ aftercare
  • Progressive skin exposure, checklist-gated at every stage
  • A real, supervised live-skin tattoo before certification

Built for: complete beginners, artists from other mediums switching to tattooing, and studio apprentices who need real fundamentals before shadowing full-time.

Course 02

Intermediate Tattoo Artist Program

The drawing foundation most self-taught artists never got.
45โ€“60 days, full-time โ‚น50,000 Weekly portfolio critique

This is where craft gets real. Anatomy, perspective, colour theory, composition โ€” the drawing fundamentals that separate a tattoo that looks good today from one that still looks good in ten years. You'll rotate through traditional, blackwork, fine line, mandala, script, small realism, and more, building toward a genuine multi-style portfolio.

  • Sketching, anatomy, colour theory, and painting fundamentals
  • Ten major tattoo styles, practiced on skin, not just paper
  • Three independent live-skin projects, client-consulted start to finish
  • Your first real pricing sheet and social media presence

Built for: Basic Program graduates, and working artists who tattoo already but never trained formally in drawing and design.

Course 03

Professional Tattoo Artist Program

Advanced realism, large-scale work, and the business to back it.
90 days, full-time โ‚น90,000 Real client project pipeline from Week 6

Half art studio, half business school. You'll take on sleeves, back pieces, and cover-ups โ€” the projects that actually build a reputation โ€” while learning digital design in Photoshop and Procreate, and the unglamorous half of the job: GST basics, hiring, marketing funnels, and how to price work that takes multiple sessions to finish.

  • Colour realism, black & grey, portraiture, and micro-realism
  • Cover-ups and scar camouflage, with real case-study documentation
  • Digital design mastery โ€” Photoshop, Procreate, client-preview mockups
  • Studio finance, legal basics, and a full marketing stack

Built for: Intermediate graduates ready for large-scale work, and artists preparing to run โ€” not just work in โ€” a studio.

Course 04

Master Pro Artist & Studio Business Program

This isn't a tattoo course. It's a founder's program.
1 year, four terms 1:1 mentorship Capstone jury defense

A full year built to produce studio owners, not just senior artists. Term by term: master-level art and advanced tattoo styles (Japanese, biomechanical, trash polka), then studio operations and hiring systems, then branding and growth, then finance, legal, and leadership. It ends with a capstone business plan you defend in front of a jury โ€” because a studio-launch plan that's never been stress-tested isn't a plan.

  • Advanced styles: Japanese, biomechanical, portrait, trash polka, micro-realism
  • SOP creation, hiring, KPIs, and franchise-model business scaling
  • Full leadership track โ€” public speaking, team building, financial planning
  • Capstone: a real studio-launch plan, defended before a senior jury

Built for: Professional graduates ready to lead, and existing studio owners who want to formalize how they run the business.

What every graduate walks away with

4
Certified programs, one continuous ladder
100%
Hygiene sign-off before any live skin work
70/30
Hands-on practice to theory, from day one

The one rule that never bends

In every program, the hygiene and sterilization check is a separate pass/fail gate โ€” it is never averaged into an artistic score. A student who draws beautifully but can't run a clean, sterile station does not certify. That's not a policy detail; it's the foundation everything else is built on.

Hygiene-first, always
